Flirty Florals | Amsterdam

Good morning Everyone! How is your week going so far?

Last week we visited Amsterdam. It  was such a beautiful, sunny day. It seemed like everybody decided to spend their time outside soaking up every single sun ray. Although the temperatures were still a little low, people were having lunch or coffee outside and tried to pretend it’s super warm – us included.

For that day I wore a romantic dark floral dress, comfortable heels and a trench coat in a light color. I love to wear my classic spring trench coat, as it goes with almost everything plus it keeps those fresh spring breezes away from you.

Another Black & White

Hello Everyone and happy Tuesday! How is your week going so far?

Since we haven’t shot any outfits in the past few days (oh, how I hate the flu!), I found this older look we shot a few weeks ago to share with you.

If you have been following my blog for some time now, you may already know how much I love  to create a contrast clothing combination, often by wearing black and white outfits. These outfits can be either dressy or look casual. If you love this combination  as much as I do, try to keep everything sleek and simple, while make accessories shine and glitter; everything depends on your imagination and event. Hope you enjoy!

Retro Vibe

Good morning Everyone and happy Monday! I just wanted to say al quick hello and share a few new pictures.

For today’s look I choose for a vintage inspired look wearing this gorgeous and uber feminine A-line Expresso dress. I’m a big fan of color blocking, I think it’s a great way to add interest to a simple design. It’s also a fun way to play with color. To finish the look I paired my dress with big black sunglasses, over the knee boots and a fake fur stole.

If you love bright colors, stripes, polka dots and retro silhouettes please take a look at the Laura Biagiotti | Spring Summer 2017 Fashion Show. I just love it!

What about you guys, what do you think about the retro look?

P.S.: Happy Valentine’s Day (tomorrow)!

Iconic LBD + Red Lips

The little black dress is an iconic and must have part of every woman’s wardrobe. This simple, yet sexy and beautiful dress can be worn in many different styles and lengths to suit almost any occasion. For today`s look I am sporting this beautiful black frill detail dress from H&M. Frills have been a major trend this season, with ruffles and flounces making their way from the catwalk to the high street. I accessorized my look with a pair of  fun polka dot-printed sheers, lace up block heels and a mini bag.

Trips & Dreams

For me, except flying, the act of travel itself it’s something from which I get a lot of joy. Be it a modern high speed train or an old fashioned steam train, to me, the most fascinating aspect of train travel is watching the world pass you by. Each of the villages that I see are people’s homes. All of those people have their owns thought, jobs, family’s, problems and joys, feeling and being irreplaceable. If they were to leave these towns, they would miss them with the same fervor that I miss my own home.

It’s a truly amazing way to capture the spirit of a people and a country.

P.S.: Sometimes, I use to fantasize about a year-long round-the-world trip for my 60’s birthday…I believe that almost everybody at one time or another has fantasized about throwing caution to the wind and taking the world by storm.

What about you guys, did you ever seriously thought about making a round-the-world trip?

The Pencil Dress

Good morning, Everyone! How is your week going so far?

Typically I prefer to wear loose fitting dresses but when I saw this Zara pencil dress it was pretty much game over. This dress is one of those pieces that combine everything I look for in a dress from open shoulders, perfect color combination and feminine silhouette. It can be dressed or up down for any occasion.

The Ethnic Embroidery Dress

Good morning, Everyone and happy Sunday!

Fashion is cyclical and old pieces that yesterday stood in our mother or grandma’s closet are hip again. Take the Romanian blouse, “ia” for example. The ia is often described as a representative piece of Romanian folklore. Feminine, colorful like Romania itself and very beautifully decorated. Each region has its own patterns and colors. There are some initiatives that push for reintroducing the representative cultural elements back into society, with a modern twist, obviously, so it’s easier to catch on or create a trend.

Today I’m styling this lovely summer dress from H&M. As you probably know, my country of origin is Romania. So when I first saw this dress I had to think immediately about the Romanian blouse. Too bad it’s already sold out, though I’ve seen similar ones around. I totally love the combination of blue, orange and black and especially the beautiful embroidery and cute tassels… It’s so comfy and airy and it’s the easiest thing ever to just slip on in the morning without having to think about it.

Dress like a French girl

Happy Wednesday Everyone! How is your week going so far?

Last weekend we finally made our choice, we are going to France this summer! Can’t wait to go shopping for holiday clothes!

The French girls are renowned for their fashion sense and you could definitely say that there’s a certain “je ne se quoi” about their style.

Don’t know about you guys, but when I think about a French style icon, I think about Brigitte Bardot.

Here are a few style tricks to steal from the French actress and style icon:

  •  Wear ballerina`s. Make sure they look simple and light.
  • Wear natural fabrics and colors such as cotton, linen, straw, etc.
  • If your dress is sophisticated, go for messy hair.
  • Remember: the sexiest outfits are the most simple.

The Little Black Dress

Happy Wednesday, Everyone! How is your week going so far?

Karl Lagerfeld said once: “One is never overdressed or underdressed with a little black dress.” Right? When it comes to little black dresses I always look for an interesting shape, fabric or detailing. So when I spotted this dress from Esprit, I just couldn’t resist. I decided to pair the dress with a sparkly clutch and statement jewelry.

How about you ladies, what do you look for in a  little black dress?
